Russelia equisetiformis

A striking, heat-loving ornamental, Red Firecracker Fern creates a graceful, cascading display of bright red, tubular flowers from spring through fall. Despite its common name, it is not a true fern. Its arching growth habit makes it especially attractive in containers, hanging baskets, borders, and Texas landscapes, while its flowers provide an excellent nectar source for pollinators.
